McLaren Speedtail by Antoine Dufilho.

The McLaren Speedtail is available in several colorful versions. This sculpture uses the Streamline technique to translate the aerodynamics of this British supercar with over 1,000 horsepower.

The McLaren Speedtail: a timeless supercar

McLaren introduces the Speedtail for 2018. This supercar develops over 1000 horsepower. It features the seating layout of the legendary McLaren F1. The driver sits in the middle of the cockpit. Two passengers sit on either side.

Its timeless styling will be remembered as THE McLaren of the 2020s. Tapered lines express pure speed. Every curve meets an aerodynamic requirement.

Streamline technology

This sculpture is part of the “Streamline” series, which evokes speed and aerodynamic research. The longitudinal cut characterizes this approach. Transparency reaches its peak when the model is viewed from the front. The blades seem to vanish into space.

Viewed from three quarters, the full silhouette appears. The plates play with the light. Each angle of observation offers a different vision. This sculpture freezes movement in metal.

Colored versions

The McLaren Speedtail is available in several versions. Each version uses aluminum and stainless steel. Standard dimensions are 80 x 36 cm. The polished stainless steel base and polished solid aluminum wheels remain constant.

Yellow version

The yellow Speedtail features lacquered aluminum plates. This bright hue immediately catches the eye. The contrast with the polished stainless steel base creates a striking effect.

Blue version

The blue finish offers an elegant alternative. The technical characteristics remain identical. The color changes the visual impact of the sculpture.

British green version

This version pays tribute to McLaren’s British roots. Green dialogues with polished surfaces. Galleries present it as “British green”.

Unfinished metal version

The raw metal finish offers unique properties. It changes color according to the lighting, the viewer’s point of view and the angle of observation. The bead-blasted treatment of the metal creates these visual variations. In the morning, low-angled light reveals sharp contrasts. At midday, surfaces become unified. In the evening, reflections warm up.

Two-tone version

A two-tone version completes the collection. This version explores the dialogue between two shades. The colors interact depending on the angle of observation.

Collaboration with McLaren Paris

Since 2022, McLaren Paris has been presenting these works at exclusive events. The Speedtail marks the first tribute to this collaboration. The British carmaker and the French sculptor share the same quest for excellence.

Regular events enable enthusiasts to discover the sculptures. This collaboration promotes contemporary automotive art.

Materials and dimensions

All versions share common features:

  • Materials: aluminum and stainless steel
  • Technique: Streamline (longitudinal cutting)
  • Effect: maximum transparency from the front
  • Base: polished stainless steel
  • Wheels: polished solid aluminum
  • Dimensions: 80 x 36 cm

Working with aluminum requires extreme precision. Each blade is oriented at a specific angle. Assembly requires perfect mastery. The result is a dialogue between the sculpture and its environment.

Where to see the sculptures

The McLaren Speedtail sculptures are exhibited in several international galleries. Bartoux, Bel Air Fine Art and other partner galleries are showing the different versions. Collectors can contact these galleries directly for more information.

Information on prices, editions and availability is available on request. Each version offers a unique interpretation of this exceptional supercar.

A work of continuity

The McLaren Speedtail is part of a global approach to exceptional automobiles. The Streamline technique is applied to various legendary models. From Ferraris to Porsches, this series explores speed in all its forms.

This sculpture marks the beginning of a collaboration with McLaren Paris. It reflects an interest in contemporary supercars. It completes a collection of legendary vehicles reinterpreted in metal.
