Ford GT-40

STORY

The Ford GT40 is a sports car from Ford, which allowed the American company to win, among other things, the 24 Hours of Le Mans four times, from 1966 to 1969.

The name GT40 comes from the initials “GT” of the category “Grand Touring“, completed by the number 40 for its height of 40
inches (or 1.02 m)
.

CONCEPT

The sculpture seems to move and the viewer provokes a visual effect
kinetic when it moves. Reminiscent ofmechanical art, of an engine or a car grille, the sculpture offers a different perception depending on its point of observation.

I present it here in a blue livery reminiscent of the GULF tanker, which further emphasizes its ’60s origins.
