{"id":2032,"date":"2022-07-15T19:28:49","date_gmt":"2022-07-15T17:28:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.antoinedufilho.com\/projet\/la-formula\/"},"modified":"2023-03-29T13:24:44","modified_gmt":"2023-03-29T11:24:44","slug":"la-formula","status":"publish","type":"projet","link":"https:\/\/www.antoinedufilho.com\/en\/project\/la-formula\/","title":{"rendered":"The Formula"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-9d6595d7 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\" style=\"flex-basis:40%\">\n<h1 class=\"has-grey-color has-text-color has-xl-font-size wp-block-heading\" style=\"text-transform:uppercase\">LA FORMULA<\/h1>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Tribute to the single-seaters of the 90s&#8217; <\/h3>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Representing the very spirit of car racing is at the heart of the creative approach of this new work by Antoine Dufilho. <\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>In this sculpture, the artist will give his interpretation of car racing, he will pay homage to the single-seaters of one of the most hectic periods of Formula 1. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Stepping out of its comfort zone, it will offer a new treatment and finish. It will play on the contrasts: the fuselage will be painted in black and the perforated base, in white.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The fins and wheels will be in mirror polished stainless steel. This monumental ensemble will alternate solids and voids.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The dynamism of the movement will be rendered by the reflections on the black or white lacquered paint.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The car will appear to be in motion and will give the viewer a new view, always different depending on the point of observation.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Despite the imposing weight of this sculpture (1 ton 2), an impression of lightness will emerge from the work rendered by the positioning and the inclination of the metal plates, different for each of them.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;For this project, I called upon my childhood memories and those Formula 1 cars that made me dream. Even if the sculpture is more an evocation of a model that could have been driven by Senna or Prost than a faithful representation, it expresses my love for this golden age of motorsport.
